Erica Snow will join The Post as editor of @postclimate

We are happy to announce that Erica Snow will be joining The Post as editor of @postclimate, our new Instagram account dedicated to climate journalism.

She will curate an actionable and informative Instagram account that expands the reach of The Post’s climate and extreme weather coverage and amplifies how the climate is changing the way we live. Erica will partner with the Instagram team and Climate Department journalists, editors, video editors and photographers to amplify their work on Instagram and help readers better understand complex climate topics.

Erica comes to The Post from MarketWatch, where she served as a social media editor who specialized in growing the company’s Instagram and expanding its audience to younger audiences. She launched social-first projects, such as the brand’s first finance challenge and Spring Clean Your Finances, and hosted a mobile video series called Finance 101.

Prior to that, Erica reported on police trials, midterm elections and student loans for The Wall Street Journal as an intern in her Chicago bureau and as a Capitol Hill reporter for the Medill News Service. .

Erica is from the Los Angeles area and is a proud Rams fan. A graduate of Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism, she teaches a course in the university’s high school journalism program on using social media as a reporting tool. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, doing Pilates and weaving wall hangings. Erica will start on October 3 and move to Washington with her fiancé in the coming months.
