UP youth arrested for loan fraud
Hyderabad: Rachakonda Cybercrime Police Arrested Uttar Pradesh Youth Charged With Cheating After Promising Loans At Lower Interest Rates.
The arrested person, Vikas Dixit (20), from Ghaziabad, had traveled to Delhi in search of work and was working in a mobile repair shop last year. He got in touch with a certain Kanha Sharma, with whom he associated and the two began to commit loan frauds.
On Sharma’s instructions, Dixit opened bank accounts at various banks in her name and provided their contact details. Money collected from victims of loan fraud is diverted to these accounts, which the two have withdrawn and used.

“Sharma posted bogus ads on social media promising low interest loans without any security. They collected money from people under the pretext of different charges and gave bogus loan approval letters, ”an official said, adding that recently they cheated on a person in Choutuppal of Rs 3.9 lakh after promising a loan. Following a complaint, a case was registered and with the help of technical evidence, Dixit was retained.
Efforts are underway to catch Sharma.
